Unum

Unum, a leader in benefits management for large corporate businesses, sought to create a unique offering with its Total Leave manager portal, setting it apart in a crowded marketplace. While most insurance companies offer separate portals for employers and employees, this portal filled a crucial gap, providing managers with a powerful tool that also served as a key differentiator for the sales team.

The portal allowed managers to log in and quickly see which employees were currently out on leave, enabling better staffing decisions and overall management efficiency.

The system needed to integrate seamlessly with multiple data sources, adhere to the corporate brand's style guidelines, and remain user-friendly. To achieve this, I designed a calendar-based interface on the initial screen, providing managers with a comprehensive, bird’s-eye view of their team's leave and absence landscape.

Multiple viewports were designed for different devices and screen sizes.
